AN exhibition of artwork created by prisoners went on display at Chester Cathedral last week.
The showcase, 'Journey into Light', featured work by prisoners from Styal and Thorn cross prisons.
The aim of the exhibition was to demonstrate the experiences of prisoners and the stories behind their convictions and sentences.
One aim of the art display was for visitors to gain an insight into prisoners' lives, their sensitivity, their compassion and humanity.
