A COMMUNITY council is inviting its residents to come up with ideas for where and how an old red telephone box should be used.
Llay Community Council paid just a £1 nominal sum to purchase the iconic kiosk, which is now disconnected, and currently situated outside Croes Howell and one village resident has offered to maintain it and turn it into a book lending facility.
Speaking at the Llay Community Council September monthly meeting on Wednesday evening, Cllr Rob Walsh said: "We do need to go ahead with a suggestion box scheme as soon as possible.
"It's really up to us to decide where the box should be moved and what it will be used for."
It was decided that a final decision on how best to carry out the suggestion box scheme would be deferred until the October meeting as several councillors were not present, but several suggestions were made, including places with high footfall that are also indoors, such as hairdressers, garages and public houses.
