A 76-YEAR-OLD woman has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision this afternoon (Monday, September 17) in Tarvin, Chester.

Cheshire police officers were called to the scene at 3.05pm on High Street, Tarvin, at the junction of Hockenhull Lane and Park Close over reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

Police say an 85-year-old woman has been taken to hospital via an ambulance with serious injuries.

A road closure was put in place at the junction and police have advised motorists to avoid the area if possible.
