A NEW arrival is to bring the best beers in the world to Chester Market.

The market is rapidly becoming a vibrant street food hub and place to buy quality products from independent, passionate providers.

The market has seen more than half a million visitors so far this year with visitor numbers on the rise.

The latest newcomer, set to further enhance the Chester Market scene is That Beer Place, due to open in October.

Bringing a range of international, craft, vegan, vegetarian and traditional beers as well as numerous artisan gins for both drink in or take home.

There will also be a great range of quality non-alcoholic drinks from UK producers so that everyone is catered for.

Beer has changed so much over the years, with breweries producing craft beer flavours that many people don’t even know exist. Beer can be sour, juicy or tropical in flavour, it can be champagne or wine like, it can taste of chocolate, coffee or even vanilla ice cream.

There really is a beer for everybody. Stocking an impressive range of around 300 beers, with six on tap at any one time, visitors to That Beer Place will be able to experience different, exciting tastes and find new favourites.

While the best wines in the world may be out of many people’s reach, the best beers in the world are so accessible and affordable to everyone! That Beer Place is a celebration of beer, from traditional ales and lagers through to modern craft and experimental beers.

With quality, creativity and independence at the heart of product selection, That Beer Place falls very much in line with Chester Market’s strategic vision.

“The vision for Chester Market to evolve into the 21st century is already taking shape. The street food hub and niche retailers is unique in Chester and is gaining interest on a daily basis. That Beer Place is a really exciting, complementary addition to our existing offering, giving consumers an even better experience when they visit,” said Karen Bates, Chester Market Manager.

Shortly after opening, That Beer Place will look to host beer and food matching events to show customers how beer and food can really complement each other and enhance a meal.

These events will also showcase the great range of produce available across Chester Market. The open food court set up is unique in Chester. Groups of friends or family don’t have to all eat in the same place, they can grab food and drink from different traders and consume them all under one roof.

The owners of That Beer Place have searched long and hard for the last two years to find the perfect venue to bring their passion for amazing beer to life.

With its soul, history, characters, community and passion for local, independent retail, Chester Market was the ideal home for their dream.

By becoming part of such a vibrant, collaborative scene, they feel they can play their part and help contribute to the resurgence of independent trade in the city they’ve loved and called home for the last 20 years.
