POLICE are advising motorists to avoid roads in Blacon, Chester city centre, Elton and Ellesmere Port tomorrow as a large funeral is due to take place.
Police warn that there is likely to be traffic disruption between 1pm and 5pm.
Chester Police have made several tweets to warn motorists and residents of the expected delays and disruption.
ROAD CLOSURE: Due to a large funeral in Blacon tomorrow Old Hall Lane between School Lane and Parkland Drive Elton will be shut from 2pm on 6 September to 12pm on 7 September.

Old Hall Lane between School Lane and Parkland Drive Elton will be closed.
Police say areas likely to be affected by traffic are Chester city centre, and Blacon Avenue, Saughall Road, and Norris Road in Blacon.
Also affected will be Woodland Place, Previn Place and Oldhall Lane in Elton.
In the Ellesmere Port area, disruption is expected on the M53 near to junction 9, and Livingstone Road. Surrounding roads are also likely to see delays for motorists.

Police have added that officers will be patrolling the affected areas.
On social media, people have speculated that up to 600 people could be attending the funeral to be held at the crematorium in Blacon.
