STAFF from Costa Coffee at Coliseum Shopping Park are appealing to local singers as they get ready to play host to an open mic night in aid of The Costa Foundation Charity.

On Sunday, September 23, the shopping park's Costa coffee shop will be inviting local singers and musicians to The Bull's Head pub on Old Chester Road to take part in charity karaoke from 8pm.

The Costa Foundation Charity is an independent organisation that works to relieve poverty in more than 70 coffee-growing areas around the world. He added: "The Costa Foundation Charity is a brilliant organisation that really focusses on giving back to the communities that the coffee comes from.

"We're thrilled that the staff at Costa will be hosting an open mic night for local talent. Something like this is a great way to fundraise and everyone can have a fantastic time for a good cause.

"We look forward to seeing the acts raising money for charity on Sunday, September 23."

Lisa Owen, charity champion at Coliseum Shopping Park's Costa, said she is really excited to be hosting the café's first open mic night.

She said: "When I became the charity champion for the Coliseum Costa I was looking forward to putting together some different events that people can really enjoy."

Coliseum's Costa team has a whole schedule of fundraising events lined-up including a Twilight Walk along Chester Canal as well as the Wirral Coastal Walk, where people are invited to join in for a donation.

Lisa added: "We're sure the night will be full of fun, music and laughter, and all for a great cause too! We look forward to seeing the acts perform and welcoming all their supporters."
