A GROUP of Ellesmere Port fundraisers will be leaving little to the imagination when they take to the stage in a 'Full Monty' show on Friday (August 31).

The event, to be held at the Whitby Sports and Social Club, will see both male and female dancers put on a show in aid of a worthy cause.

Sarah Warner, one of the organisers, explained: "It was myself, Susan Pritchard and Lindsey Letman who were having a conversation on Facebook.

"We had watched the celebrities do The Real Full Monty on TV in March with Ashley Banjo and Coleen Nolan from Loose Women and we thought about doing something similar, and it grew from there – it has come together brilliantly.

"I had breast cancer last year and wanted to be part of this; everyone I know has had cancer or has someone close who has had it.

"We will have local people, male and female, doing the full monty, while local businesses have donated prizes for the raffle.

"Things have flooded in from local people and there are 350 tickets to sell. We are hoping to raise £5,000 from this event."

Raffle prizes include a donated Liverpool FC T-shirt and a week-long holiday in Spain.

Tickets, priced £10, can be bought from Whitby Sports and Social Club or Leigh's Stationers.
