HUNDREDS of pounds were raised for a worthy cause when a Chester supermarket celebrated its 10th birthday on Sunday (August 19).
There were plenty of fun-filled family activities as Tesco on Sealand Road held the milestone anniversary bash, with proceeds going to The Countess Charity's Stroke Unit appeal.
The charity, via its Facebook page, wrote: "A fantastic £900.20 was raised from today’s fundraiser held by Tesco Sealand Road in aid of the Mechanical Arm Support Appeal for the Stroke Therapies Fund.
"Huge thanks to all who worked so hard to make it such a success, in particular Kylie Walker and Louise Hughes."
Among the activities were a PureGym stall, a chance to soak the Tesco staff and the opportunity for youngsters to see inside a police car.
