A MOTHER and baby were rescued from a house fire in Frodsham.
Fire engines from Runcorn, Widnes and Penketh were called to reports of a fire in a house in Arran Drive at 4.20am today (Sunday, August 19).
After rescuing the woman and baby, firefighters used breathing apparatus to enter the house and tackle the blaze.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire & Rescue said: "Fire crews were called to a house fire on Arran Drive, Frodsham. Crews rescued two casualties - a mother and her baby - using a 7m ladder from a rear bedroom.
"Crews, four wearing breathing apparatus, then tackled the fire using two hose reel jets. The fire involved an electrical cupboard on the ground floor."
The woman and baby were handed into the care of paramedics at the scene.
