THE headteacher at Upton by Chester High has praised students and staff for a “stunning” set of A-level results.

Overall, 29.2 per cent of all results gained were A*or A grades, 54.3 per cent were A* to B and 80 per cent A* to C.

Furthermore, 100 per cent of students who sat the highly valued Extended Project Qualification gained an A*.

Headteacher Paula Dixon said: “Once again, our students have excelled. These stunning results are testament to the outstanding hard work and commitment of our staff and students.

“Well done to them all!”

She said the results were “well above local and national averages on all measures” and thanked parents as well as staff and students for their dedication.
