Shaun Pearson wants the disappointment of last season to spur Wrexham on this time round.
Wrexham kick off their National League campaign today at Dover Athletic and inspirational captain Pearson wants to bring success to the club.
“I was jacked off after the way we ended last season,” said Pearson. “But when the new manager came in, Sam rang and asked me to meet him for a chat.
“What he said was really positive and it gave me real hope for this season.
“We know what this club means to the fans.
“Wrexham is a working class town and they want to see the players putting in effort on the pitch. And that’s why we’re going to give it our all.”
