A CAR dealership has launched a new partnership with disability charity DIAL West Cheshire.

Lindop Toyota wants to raise awareness of the Motability car scheme, which helps disabled people, members of the armed forces and war pensioners, lease new cars as part of their government-funded mobility allowance.

The showroom will also be donating two mobility scooters - one for Chester and one for Ellesmere Port - which people will be able to hire from the charity's Shopmobility sites.

Lindop's Motability specialist, Andy Hughes said, “The scheme comes with a wide range of benefits, including comprehensive insurance, servicing, maintenance and repair costs, RAC breakdown cover, free tyres and windscreen replacement, 60,000 mileage allowance over three years, and a chance to lease a new car after three years."

Marketing Manager, Alex Rea said: “Lindop Toyota will hold monthly workshops at DIAL House, situated behind the Forum Shopping Centre, at local events and at our dealership in Queensferry, where we will meet with the charity's clients and let them know their entitlements under the scheme.”

He added: “We are really excited by this partnership and the opportunity we have to raise awareness of the scheme.”
