A MAN has appeared at Chester Magistrates Court charged with robbing a woman in Chester city centre.
Jack Edmonds, 21, stands accused of robbing the 37-year-old woman in Sibell Street, near Brook Street, at 12.03am on Monday, July 16.
Edmonds entered no plea and the case will be heard at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, August 14.
Richard Thomas, defending, said Edmonds was previously of no fixed abode but his family had rallied round to provide support and he was now able to stay at his mother's address in Corbett Avenue, Shawbury, Shropshire.
Magistrates granted Edmonds bail until August 14 with a number of conditions.
Edmonds is not to enter Cheshire at all, apart from court appearances and to meet his solicitor, he must reside at his mother's address in Shawbury, he is subject to a 9pm-7am electronic curfew and he must not contact prosecution witnesses or the victim.
