CHESHIRE police have provided more details over an incident in Ellesmere Port on Sunday where a motorist is alleged to have deliberately driven at a pedestrian.

The incident happened at 12.27pm on Westminster Road.

A Cheshire police spokesman said: "Officers were called to reports that a car had deliberately driven at a pedestrian on Westminster Road in Ellesmere Port.

"The victim, a 48-year-old local man, did not sustain any serious injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

"Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML124546.

"Information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
