A person has been killed after being struck by a train near Shotton railway station.
Emergency services are at the scene after the incident that happened at about 3.20pm.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "A person has sadly been pronounced dead at the scene.
"We are now working to identify the individual and locate their family.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Virgin train travelling eastbound has stopped on the line close to the station as police officers investigate.
National Rail said at that services between Flint and Llandudno Junction would be heavily disrupted after the incident.
Lines re-opened shortly before 6pm.
