There are a number of vehicles at the scene on Westbourne Road in Chester as well as a forensic tent.

Cheshire Police would not confirm to The Standard that the activity was related to the arrest this morning of a female healthcare worker.

However, national news television cameras are at the scene with some media outlets claiming police had confirmed the link.

Chester and District Standard:

Press Association (PA) reported that a neighbour on the road said a woman lived at the address who moved in around 2015 but did not know her name.

She added: "She's a bit of an enigma, no-one seems to know her.

"I saw lots of police cars arrive, a few cars then a big police van, and gradually more and more came and they put up the tent."

Neighbours said police first appeared at the property at around 7am on Tuesday.

Chester and District Standard:

Officers moved a small, silver Suzuki car from the driveway of the address to erect the tent.

The car has an NHS parking permit in the window, reports PA.

It was announced earlier today that a woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering eight babies and trying to kill a further six.

Cheshire Police began an investigation in May last year in relation to a greater number of baby deaths and ‘collapses’ than normally expected during the period of June 2015 and June 2016.
