FIREFIGHTERS were called to a light aircraft crash in a field near Culcheth.
Shortly after 6pm on Sunday (June 24) one fire engine from Northwich and one from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service found that a plane had landed in a tree at Kenyon Hall Farm.
Crews worked to release the pilot and he has since been passed to the care of North West Ambulance Service.
He is believed to be in a stable condition and has been taken to Warrington Hospital.
The Civil Aviation Authority has been informed.
