A MAN has appeared in court charged with murder following an incident in Ellesmere Port last Thursday.

Daniel Renshaw, 27, of Drake Road, Neston, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday.

The charges relate to an incident at an address on Seymour Drive, Ellesmere Port, in the early hours of Thursday 14 June.

Police and paramedics attended the scene and on arrival the alleged victim – Graham Renshaw, aged 52 – was found with serious injuries. He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital but sadly died a short time later.

Daniel Renshaw entered no plea and was remanded in custody. The case is scheduled to be heard on July 16 at Chester Crown Court, while an application for bail will be heard at Chester Crown Court tomorrow (Tuesday, June 19).

Graham’s next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers and they have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
