Police have called for anyone with video footage to come forward after a woman was robbed and punched by a teenage boy while sorting out her recycling at her Flintshire home.

The incident happened at about 8.50am on Monday morning in Cwrt Maes Goch, Bagillt.

North Wales Police have now called on members of the public to share any CCTV or dashcam footage relating to the incident.

The victim was putting items in her recycling bin when a teenage boy, aged about 16, approached her from behind, punched her and demanded money.

He followed her into her back garden where he noticed her purse on the kitchen table.

She handed him the contents of the purse before he made off through the back garden.

A police spokesman said the suspect was wearing a grey hoody top, black or grey tracksuit pants, black trainers and a black base-ball cap and spoke with a Birmingham accent.

The victim was not hurt, but she was extremely shaken and upset by her ordeal.
