A MAN is said to be in a stable condition after he was viciously attacked in Chester city centre this morning (Friday, March 16).
Police officers were called to reports of an altercation between three men on Northgate Street at around 4.30am.
They attended the scene and found that a 33-year-old man had been seriously assaulted. He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where he is believed to be in a stable condition.
Two men, age 42 and 52, have been arrested suspicion of section 18 assault in in relation to the incident.
They are currently being held in police custody where they are assisting officers with their enquiries.
As a result of the incident a road closure is currently in place on Northgate Street in Chester City Centre.
