YOUNGSTERS at Eccleston Primary School celebrated Fairtrade Fortnight with a visit from the Chester MP.
Pupils took part in a range of activities, including holding a Fairtrade breakfast for parents and friends of the school, running a Fairtrade gift shop with items from And Albert, and holding a whole school assembly on the origin of the Fairtrade banana!
Headteacher Katie Cade added: “We were also delighted to welcome members of the Co-op to school, who brought a Fairtrade banana for every pupil as well as Chris Matheson MP, who attended last Friday to learn more about everything the school have been up to during these last two weeks.”
