A WOMAN who shares the Queen's birthday is to marry on the same day as her grandson, Prince Harry.

Kerry-Ann Mather, of Mold, turns 32 on April 21 on the same day Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth turns 91.

And she is due to marry her fiancee, Mark Neal, on May 19, the same day the Queen's grandson Prince Harry is set to marry American TV star Meghan Markle.

Miss Mather, originally from Leeswood, and Mr Neal, originally from Coedpoeth, Wrexham are even set to tie the knot at the same time - 12pm.

While Prince Harry and Ms Markle will marry at St George's Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle, Miss Mather, who works at a day nursery in Nercwys, and Mr Neal will be saying 'I do' at St Mary's Church in Mold.

Miss Mather said: "It's always been a bit of an ongoing joke in the family that I share my birthday with the Queen, and now this.

"Mark and I have been together for two and a half years and got engaged on December 29, 2016, and began planning the wedding the next month - so we set our date way before they (Harry and Meghan) did.

"It's a bit funny as my boss at work told me that I had to cancel the date of my wedding as no-one is allowed to marry on the same day as a Royal wedding.

"I was fuming because I believed it until I looked it up on Google a bit later on and found out it wasn't true."

As well as the Royal wedding, the happy couple's date also clashes with the FA Cup Final at Wembley, but Miss Mather says she is expecting everyone to RSVP positively.

She said: "My uncle has already told me it was between me and the football rather than the Royal wedding.

"We are looking forward to the day and I am sure they will enjoy theirs too."
