A TEACHER will run the London Marathon in April to raise money for a charity close to her heart.
Jennifer Roscoe, vice-principal of The Hammond School in Chester, will tackle the 26.2-mile course in support of the NSPCC.
Jennifer, 35, of Farndon, said: “I have been a teacher for 12 years and have seen the devastating effects neglect, abuse and bullying can have on the mental wellbeing of young people. By choosing the NSPCC I hope to raise awareness of this wonderful charity.”
Jennifer got into distance running while studying history at Oxford University. She has competed in several half-marathons and marathons.
Donations for her latest run can be made online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jennifer-roscoe5.
