Hi My name is Gary Birtles from Groovy Gazza Productions, we are performing a show at Ellesmere Port civic Hall on Mar 8th and would be grateful if you would consider our press release for publication. If you need more info you can contact me on 07984 169268 Regards Gary A little piece of Vegas is coming to Ellesmere Port on Mar 8th, as the award winning production company ‘Groovy Gazza Productions’ bring their show, ‘A Salute to Frank Sinatra’ to the Civic Hall for a midweek matinee. Show producer Gary Birtles says, ‘We were here last year with our first show, which has been touring for 9yrs now, ‘A Salute to the 1940’s’ and the audience were great, they got involved and joined in all the songs. so we are returning with Tony Martin who regularly plays G.I Frank Sinatra in the show performing his classic Sinatra hits’. Tony Martin has toured the world with his act including performing in the West End with a Rat Pack show which was attended by Amy Winehouse. She was so struck by Tony’s performance that on the way home he was listening to Radio 2 and she contacted the presenter and asked for a Sinatra song saying that, ‘she had just been to see a show in London and the guy who portrayed Frank was amazing’. Not a bad reference coming from such a huge star. When he started his Sinatra tribute, he was picked from thousands of hopefuls to star in the critically acclaimed show THE KINGS OF SWING, at the world famous tower ballroom, Blackpool, where the show ran for three years. In 2010 he won the European Sinatra tribute of the year competition, Tony also has appearances at the royal variety gala dinner, preforming for royalty and has sung at many top celebrities party's and wedding’s but ask Tony which, out of all the wonderful gigs he has done, is his favourite and he says, ‘Singing for the troops, the 12 regiment royal artillery when returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, to see the look on the faces of families being reunited,is something very wonderful to have been a part of’. Supporting Tony in the show will be another familiar face, Lorrie Brown as Doris Day. Lorrie is the award winning Vera Lynn tribute who was part of the 40’s show last year. Finally supporting Tony will be the producer himself, Gary Birtles performing his tribute to Elvis. The show is at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall and starts at 2pm on Thurs 8th March and tickets are £12.50 or £11 conc.
