An Ellesmere Port family joined forces to raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

Charlotte Brennan, 41, and her daughter Molly, 16, teamed up with Charlotte's brother Damian Armstrong, 47, to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge.

Together they scaled the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland – Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis – in just under 24 hours.

Charlotte's husband Michael, 45, was the designated driver who transported the three to each of the locations, and he was joined for the ride by Damian's 11-year-old son Nicholas.

The Brennans are from Ellesmere Port, while the Armstrongs live in Congleton.

Sponsorship money is still being counted up and will all go to Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford, which both families felt was a particularly worthy cause.
