A mum who helps promote awareness of autism has been shortlisted for two business awards.

Jane Hawkes, of Little Sutton, has been nominated for Online Mum Of The Year and Network Marketing Mum of The Year Award at the fourth annual BizMums Awards.

Jane is founder of Seashore No4, an online ecommerce store which sells creations inspired by the sea and shore.

Inspired by her autistic son and his efforts at pursuing a career, Jane launched her business with the dream of creating work-experience opportunities for young people with autism.

Jane is delighted to be nominated and says that networking has allowed her to both raise awareness of autism and at the same time promote her business.

“BizMums is a strong network of inspirational and empowering women in business, and it’s fantastic that my business has been recognised among them,” said Jane.

BizMums founder Michelle Childs, said Jane is appreciated for her ability to link guest speakers and like-minded contacts with fellow women in business.

The winners will be announced on October 8 at the BizMums Conference and Awards at the Manor House in Alsager, Cheshire.

The event will bring together hundreds of mums in business from across the region to network, learn and celebrate each others’ achievements over the past 12 months.
