A FINE dining restaurant has been crowned Best Hotel Restaurant at the European Hospitality Awards, 2015.
The announcement comes weeks after the restaurant at the Chester Grosvenor Hotel, named after executive chef, Simon Radley, was named among the UK’s top 100 restaurants by The Sunday Times.
Earlier this year Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor was awarded a Michelin star for the 26th consecutive year.
The award-winning restaurant is part of an elite group of only four other English restaurants to have been awarded one or more Michelin stars consecutively for so many years.
Mr Radley’s dedication to the development of his team has also been recognised,
with victory in the category of Best Chef Development Strategy at the Springboard Awards.
He mentors young up and coming chefs through the Simon Radley Kitchen Academy, offering 10 lucky
16-24 year olds the opportunity to earn while they learn in a full time role in the state-of-the art kitchens.
He said: “I am extremely proud of the team and thrilled that we have been chosen for such accolades, recognised as some of the best in the industry.”
Richard Grove, general manager of The Chester Grosvenor, said: “These awards and accolades are very well deserved for Simon, his kitchen team and of course the restaurant service team, as it is these people who work seamlessly to deliver the service which the restaurant is renowned for.”
