PRIME MINISTER David Cameron 'popped in' to the Chester Leader and Standard office in Chester on Monday during his visit to the city.
During his visit to the newspaper's city centre office in Watergate Street he was interviewed by Chief Reporter Steve Creswell and also met Adverting Director Peter Beech, Editorial Director Barrie Jones and NWN Media Managing Director and President of the Chester Business Club David Faulkner.
In a busy day for the Conserative leader, Mr Cameron told the people of Chester he will create and boost the standard of living if he is elected for a second term.
He also urged people to get on board with 'fracking', saying there were too many “scare stories” and giving his personal guarantee that it would not go ahead if it was unsafe.
During a visit to the Chester Standard and Leader offices, Mr Cameron said he was confident that MP Stephen Mosley would regain his seat in the city on May 7.
He also sympathised with front line health and emergency services workers who felt the need to go on strike – but said there should be a minimum threshold on strike ballots to ensure they only went ahead when properly supported.
