A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a police operation in Queensferry.
The town was locked down during rush hour on Tuesday as the wanted man was arrested after a dramatic police chase.
At around 3.45pm North Wales Police officers moved in on a silver Mini Cooper at the roundabout near Asda supermarket, on the B5129.
The car was stopped in connection with a domestic-related incident in Stoke-on-Trent earlier in the afternoon.
A statement from Staffordshire Police said: "We’ve arrested a 48-year-old man for attempted murder in connection with an incident earlier this afternoon in Stoke-on-Trent.
"Following the incident, colleagues from North Wales Police stopped a car at a supermarket in Queensferry, Flintshire, and a man from Longton was detained.
"He was arrested in Wales at around 5.20pm."
A woman has been taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital by ambulance with multiple knife wounds following an incident in Longton, Staffordshire.
The entire town of Queensferry was gridlocked for more than two hours as officers and vehicles cordoned off all surrounding roads, including Chester Road East, the entrance from the roundabout, and Station Road.
