They have been happy, funky and even shaken it all off – now staff at a Chester school Can't Stop the Feeling.

For the fifth year running, teachers at Bishops’ Blue Coat CE High School have recorded a special end-of-term video showing them dancing along to a hit pop song.

The soundtrack to this year's is Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop The Feeling! and it shows staff members busting moves around the Great Boughon school's campus and local supermarket.

Previous efforts have been filmed with backing from Pharrell's Happy, Taylor Swift's Shake It Off and the Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars collaboration Uptown Funk.

The videos, which are uploaded to YouTube, are played to Year 11 students as a farewell gift during their end-of-year celebration assembly.

Learning and Achievement Manager for Year 11, Emma Thomas, said: “This is a lovely event in which we celebrate the success and hard work of our students who have come to the end of their demanding GCSE examination schedule.

“As always, we enjoy reminiscences, success and fellowship with the students and their parents.

“Our teachers really prove that our school community works together to nurture our students.”

English teacher and Year 11 tutor Eamonn Coffey takes a starring role in the video, wearing the familiar Timberlake white denim jacket.

The footage – which has already clocked up thousands of hits online – ends with outgoing deputy headteacher Peter Coates doing a “mic drop” marking the end of 17 years of dedicated service to the school as he moves into semi-retirement.
