A HEALTH and nutrition blogger from the University of Chester is calling for support to help her to win a national award.

Lindsay Benson, 25, has been shortlisted in the Best Food Blog category in the Cosmo Blog Awards for her health and fitness site
Set up by the dietetics and nutrition student, the website began life as an outlet to promote diet specific recipes and healthy eating for gym enthusiasts. Within its first four weeks of going live in March 2013 it attracted 10,000 hits.

Lindsay uses her knowledge and experience to offer healthy eating and training advice, and the competitive body builder and former national swimmer is particularly keen to help other women into the sport.

“One of my main goals is to try and combat male dominance in the weights sections in the gym and to get women more confident in using weights,” she said.

Voting is open until Friday and winners will be announced later this year. To vote for visit Lindsay visit
