Police appeal after woman grabbed in city

POLICE are appealing for information in the hunt for a man who grabbed a woman in an alleyway in Chester city centre.

The 25-year-old victim was walking in the alley between Commonhall Street and Old Hall Place when she was approached and grabbed by a man at about 12.05pm on Thursday.

Fortunately, the woman managed to break free and escape but police want to speak to anyone with information about what happened. The woman was not injured.

The man, who fled in the direction of Commonhall Street, is described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, between 5 ft 9 ins and 6 ft tall and a slim to medium build.

He had blond hair, was carrying a satchel bag and may have had a speech impediment.
