Wellington Road in Broughton where a man was attacked at the weekend 

POLICE are hunting a gang who attacked a man outside a house party, leaving him with serious facial injuries.

The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday outside a house in Wellington Road, Broughton and police believe the gang are from the Chester area.

North Wales Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or who has any information to come forward.

The victim was at a house party in Wellington Road when he was attacked in the street by a group of men. It is not known how many men were in the group or how old they were.

He suffered facial fractures and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and say the believe the attackers are from the Lache Estate.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “Police are appealing for information after a man sustained serious facial injuries in an assault in Flintshire.

“The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, September 15 when the victim was assaulted in the street by a group of males while he was at a party in Wellington Road, Broughton.

“The offenders are believed to be from the Lache area of Chester. The victim was taken to the Countess of Chester hospital for treatment for various facial fractures. His condition is not said to be life- threatening.

“Crime scene investigators have examined the area and house to house inquiries are under way.”
