Police launch hunt after masked gang target store

POLICE are hunting robbers who threatened staff at a village store near Chester.

Two men with their faces covered went into the Co-operative Food store on The Cross in High Street, Malpas, shortly before 10pm on Thursday.

They threatened members of staff and stole money and cigarettes before fleeing in the direction of Well Street. The men were not armed and nobody was injured.

The first man was between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a plain hooded top with the hood up, a balaclava, light coloured gloves, dark
coloured tracksuit bottoms and dark footwear.

The second man was approximately 5ft 6ins tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a light grey hooded top, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms, dark coloured footwear and dark coloured gloves. He also had his face covered.
