YOUNGSTERS got a taste of countryside living by taking part in a fun-filled farm day.

Blacon Adventure Playground hosted a day at the farm to celebrate the countryside with lots of traditional stalls and games.

Enjoying carnival side shows, fancy dress and donkey rides, children were also given the chance to look after animals in the playground’s urban farm.
The farm day also included dance performances, countryside games, farm shop, tombola and refreshments.
Blacon Adventure Playground features adventurous play structures, environmental play areas, indoor workshops and playbarn.
The four-acre site includes an urban farm housing animals including donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks.
Children are encouraged to develop an interest in wildlife found within the playground and are free to play, build dens and create their own trails.
