Trowbridge Apple Festival is back for a third consecutive year next Saturday at Courtfield House, Polebarn Road, Trowbridge, from 11am-3pm.

The free event includes apple identification and tasting, live music and Morris dancers, locally produced food and drink, Dave Hickory’s magic show, crafts, games and apple pressing.

There will also be demonstrations from expert fruit growers and gardeners Richard Cripps and John Nash and the annual apple pie competition, as part of The BIG Community Grow.

Mel Jacob, who organises the festival with Jacky Good, said: “We want the Apple Festival to be a great annual community enjoyed by the whole of Trowbridge. It’s a chance for local people to show off what they do well.

“We’ve had great support from our local councillors and the Town Council, in particular funding from the Area Board without which the event could not happen.”
