Debenhams Browns of Chester are inviting all ladies to a pamper evening on Wednesday, May 9, between 6pm and 8pm.

The event will take place in the store and all the proceeds will go to Chester Women’s Aid.

Tickets are £10, including a welcome drink from The Botanist, nibbles and one luxury beauty treatment from your chosen brand, as well as a goodie bag.

On the night, there will be live music, entertainment and a raffle with prizes.

Chester Women’s Aid (CWA) raises money for local families experiencing domestic abuse unable to access statutory sources of funding, as well as raising awareness of domestic abuse. It is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are bound by the Constitution of the Charities Commission. The Charity supports the local refuge and other specialist domestic abuse services, establishing the following aims: To SUPPORT Women & families experiencing domestic abuse, To raise AWARENESS of domestic abuse, To MONITOR provision of services to women & families experiencing domestic abuse.

Fiona Neame, chair of Chester Women’s Aid said “Since joining Chester Women’s Aid I’ve learnt so much about domestic abuse and the varied journeys that those who suffer DA experience, as they try to find help and safety.

"It takes so much courage and trust to be able to open up and seek help."

She added: "By raising awareness about DA, CWA hopes that these people will be better understood within the community, so they can be supported by family, friends, employers and service providers, in a way that enables them to live safe, secure and happy lives.

"CWA also raise funds for emergency grants for those fleeing abuse and we really appreciate Debenham’s giving us this opportunity to enjoy a bit of pampering whilst raising both funds and awareness.”
