Armed gang raids letting agents
A gang armed with swords, baseball bats and a gun stole cash after bursting into a letting agents in north Manchester.
The five masked men - one with a pistol in his waistband - demanded money from staff in Khan Property Management Services on Cheetham Hill Road.
Police said they took cash from desk drawers and stuffed it into bags before fleeing down Greenhill Road and Ansdell Street.
Four of the gang are said to be white while the other member is believed to be black. All the men were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
No-one was injured though staff were said to be traumatised by the incident.
Detective Constable Jim Slack, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "All weapons are dangerous, but the mere fact swords, baseballs bats and a firearm were being carried shows these are men are prepared to use force if necessary to get their hands on money and we are doing everything in our power to apprehend them."
