CHESTER'S new Tesco superstore will open next month, creating almost 200 jobs.
The supermarket giant has confirmed that the Sealand Road store will open its doors to customers on Monday, August 11.

Bosses are currently recruiting for 189 full-time and part-time jobs at the 45,000 sq-ft shop.

That will bring the total number of people employed by Tesco in the Chester area to over 1,000.

The store will include a fish counter, hot and cold delicatessen, bakery, clothing, electrical, newspapers, magazines and lottery stand, sandwiches and fresh fruit and vegetables.

Opening hours will be 8am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sundays.
