CHESTER MP Christine Russell has praised a city company in its efforts to tackle climate change.
Solar Twin, of Watergate Street, sells zero carbon solar panels which can be used to heat hot water and homes.

Mrs Russell said: "It is really encouraging to see people in Chester taking it upon themselves to reduce emissions."

She added: "It is important to recognise the efforts of local people and local companies in addressing the problem."

The electric pumps used by the firm are also solar powered which means the panels do not rely on any mains electricity.

Mrs Russell said the Government's Climate Change Bill, the first of its kind in any country, would lead to several developments, including the establishment of a carbon committee to work alongside the Government in reducing emissions.

"Climate change is a serious issue which more and more people are taking notice of and writing to me about."
