Ellesmere Port man tried to escape custody whilst in hospital

An Ellesmere Port man tried to escape from custody at the Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral.
Kevin David Tierney, 38, of Northern Rise, Great Sutton, appeared at a plea and case management hearing at Chester Crown Court to admit attempting to escape from Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral, on February 28.

In the process of trying to escape Tierney admitted causing damage to a suspended ceiling at the hospital.

Tierney also pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of amphetamine and supplying amphetamine on February 28.

He also admitted possessing amphetamine with intent to supply on the same day.

Tierney denied assaulting two police officers and will face trial at crown court on June 6.

He will be sentenced for the other matters after the trial has finished.
