Chester legal college to invest £2m in historic hall
THE College of Law, in Chester, the UK's leading provider of professional learning and development for lawyers, has announced an investment of £2 million at the Chester centre.
The investment at the Christleton centre will primarily concentrate on the refurbishment, remodelling and restoration of the historic Christleton Hall to ensure students have the best possible facilities.
The gardens will also be restructured and landscaped to create an impressive new entrance.
Andy Duxbury, chief executive officer at Aaron and Partners solicitors, said: "The College of Law students are paving the way for excellence in the North West."
The College of Law will also be expanding its regional base to offer a new centre in the heart of Manchester city centre, opening in 2009
Tricia Chatterton, North West regional director at The College of Law, said: "The College of Law in Chester has been training lawyers since 1973. This £2 million investment in Christleton will reinforce the college's position as a leader in educational training across the region, supporting the local economy by encouraging the retention of legal talent."
