CHESTER MP Christine Russell has joined forces with Breast Cancer Campaign to help cancer research and to raise awareness of the illness.
She sported a pink lab coat and a pink, feathered scarf for this year's Wear it Pink day, an award-winning annual event which will take place on Friday.

This year's theme, Dare to wear, is urging everyone to dress up in pink to represent the importance of breast cancer research.

Mrs Russell said: "Every year over 45,500 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer.

"Like many others, I know people who have lost friends and family members to breast cancer.

"I would like to encourage everyone in Chester and throughout the country to support wear it pink on October 31, to raise valuable funds for breast cancer research."

Breast Cancer Campaign supports 114 research projects in 46 centres across the UK.

The campaign is asking anyone who can to donate £2 and to wear an item of pink to help fund further cancer research across the UK.
